NEW HANOVER and PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The N.C. Department of Transportation recently awarded a $13.9 million contract to S.T. Wooten Corp. of Wilson to go towards repairing roads in Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender Counties, according to a news release from the D.O.T.
Work can start as early as March 18, and work will be finished by June 28, 2014.
Work will include resurfacing U.S. 117/N.C. 132 from Gordon Road to just south of Murrayville Road, along with the I-40 on- and off-ramps in New Hanover and Pender counties.
Additionally, work will be done on the following secondary roads in New Hanover County: Whipporwill Lane, Channel Haven Drive, Aqua Drive, Marsh Hen Drive, Brighton Road, Cornwell Court, Shelley Drive and Golden Rod Drive.
