Local school taking a stand against bullying | News
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Educators and students at Murrayville Elementary are taking a stand against bullying. The school is hosting an anti-bullying celebration Monday morning at 9 a.m.
An anti-bullying slogan contest, t-shirt decoration, and a picture and essay contest are all planned for the event. Guest speakers from the New Hanover County Sheriff's Department and Laney High School will be in attendance. Musician and stuntman, Dane Britt, will also be at the celebration. Britt will give a motivational speech on bullying and perform some of his famous stunts for students. There will also be a special school photo of the entire student body wearing Anti-Bullying t-shirts and holding the winning slogans.
