Band plays at Polish Festival

CASTLE HAYNE, NC (WECT) – It's an annual sign of November in our area: St. Stan's Polish Fest.

This is the 15th year for the event, held every November at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church on Castle Hayne Road.

This year's festivities included a special performance from Karolinka, a children's Polish folk group out of Charlotte. Bands from all over the state also come in to perform traditional polka music at the festival.

The event is the biggest fundraiser for the church.

For $10 a plate, folks dined on Polish fare, including kielbasa, pierogi, golabki, placki ziemiaczane, and kruschiki.
