Park temporarily closes for filming of TV show
NEW HANOVER CO., NC (WECT) - Smith Creek Park will be closed to traffic Wednesday, August 22 while the cast and crew of Revolution are filming.
There will be no onsite parking for visitors, but walkers may still enter the park and use the walking trails. The lake will be closed to everyone including fishermen and boaters.
Nearby Parkwood Park on Canetuck Road will be open for any visitors who don't want to use Smith Creek Park. Parkwood Park has a new picnic area, playground, basketball court and paved walking trails.
Smith Creek Park will reopen as normal on Thursday, August 23.
