TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Leave early if you're heading to the airport

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Expect traffic delays Friday at the intersection of Princess Place Drive and 23rd Street.

HBO will be filming a scene at the intersection Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for an upcoming film presentation.

The Wilmington International Airport is urging people flying Friday to plan for the delays or simply avoid the intersection during the time frame of filming.

New trailer released for locally-filmed movie 'We're the Millers'

"We're the Millers" will release in theaters August 9.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The official trailer for We're the Millers has been released. The new movie filmed several scenes in the Port City last summer.

We're the Millers, starring Jennifer Aniston, is a comedy about a veteran pot dealer who creates a fake family in order to move a huge shipment of marijuana into the United States from Mexico.

Scenes were filmed in several Wilmington locations, including on River Road, Kerr Avenue and Blue Clay Road. Production crews also filmed a carnival scene in Brunswick Forest.

We're the Millers will be in theaters August 9.

Extras reflect on time spent filming 'Revolution' in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Members of the "Monroe Militia" are powering down from their time in the spotlight.

With Revolution moving to Austin, Texas to film its second season, a small, close-knit group of extras that were cast to play militia members in Wilmington are reflecting on the times they spent on the show.

According to one of the militia members, David Pascua, the group has been dubbed 'Sgt. Sam's Militia of Background Artists', named for the production assistant in charge of the group, Samantha Marie Clark.

The group started working together on Episode 3.

Pascua said they filmed scenes at the former Sticky Fingers restaurant in Wilmington and Smith Creek Bridge in Castle Hayne.

"Over the five days of filming, a camaraderie was established and many us became friends," Pascua explained in an email to our Ashlea Kosikowski. "During that time, the weather was not only hot and humid, but basically unforgiving."

Portion of Blue Clay Road to close as crews film scenes for 'Tammy'

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – According to a news release, a portion of Blue Clay Road will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, May 14 while crews film the a scene for the movie Tammy.

 Blue Clay Road will be closed is from Old Mill Road to Holly Road. 

The release alos states that crews from the production are notifying residents and businesses around the area. Notifications will be placed for drivers.

'Breaking Bad' actor checks out Wilm. restaurant

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A celebrity who’s in town filming a new TV series recently dined at Wilmington restaurant Catch.

Actor Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) stopped at Catch Tuesday night, according to the restaurant’s Twitter.

Norris is currently starring in the TV series Under the Dome, which is based on a Stephen King novel of the same name.

Sneak peek at Wilmington filmed 'Stuck in Love'

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) –There's a new sneak peek at a new movie that was shot in Wilmington over the summer.

Stuck in Love starring Greg Kinnear and Kristen Bell is about a famous writer, his ex-wife and his teen kids, and how they come to terms of the complexities of love.

The movie is expected to be released in April.
