Donate food and 'Stop Summer Hunger'
NORTH CAROLINA (WECT) – The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is kicking off its 6th summer campaign. This year’s campaign is called Stop Summer Hunger.
Nearly 300,000 children in the Food Bank’s service area lose access to free and reduce-cost meals when schools close for summer break. 30,000 of those children are in the Wilmington area.
The goal of Stop Summer Hunger is to provide 3 million meals during June and July.
