WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – New Hanover Regional Medical Center announced that the annual Relay for Life Cancer Survivor's Reception will be Sunday, March 27 from 2-4 p.m. at the McKeithan Building on the north campus of Cape Fear Community College.
Anyone living with a diagnosis of cancer is invited to attend this reception. More than 100 survivors will be on hand to celebrate life. There will be refreshments, entertainment and activities.
“It’s truly heartwarming to see folks each year as they gather to socialize and celebrate,” said Wanda Bass, chairman of survivor activities with the New Hanover County Relay for Life, in a statement.
If you are attending, you must RSVP no later than March 23 by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 395-5538.
This is a preliminary event to the 2011 New Hanover County Relay for Life, which is scheduled for April 15-16 at Ashley High School.
