Man who claimed he was carjacked doesn't file report | Crime
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -The New Hanover County 911 center got a call around 2:22am that a man had been carjacked at the intersection of Dove Field Drive and Brittany Lakes Drive.
The called said a man jumped in his car, armed with a knife then took the car.
Deputies arrived on the scene at 2:27a.m. and found the car wrecked, with the airbags deployed, right around the corner.
Then the victim declined to file a report. Deputies called the highway patrol in to do a wreck investigation.
WECT is working to get more details. WECT has a call into the trooper who responded.
