Extras needed for ‘Under the Dome’ TV series | Community Spirit

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Extras are needed for an upcoming TV series called Under the Dome, which is going to be filmed in and around the Wilmington area, according to a Facebook page for Vanessa N. Casting.

Extras who apply will need to be able to work over the next six months, as they will be seen over and over again.

The casting company says that folks who are 30 and older and of diverse ethnicities are wanted, and the series begins shooting at the beginning of March.

The pay rate is $64 per every eight hours of work.

If you want to apply to be an extra, email utdextras@gmail.com with a head and body shot and the following information:

• Full name
• Age
• Phone number
• Location
• Availability (if you’re in school, if you work, etc.)
• Size and measurements
• Type of vehicle you drive with the make and model

The subject line of the email you send in should include your specific age/sex/location (example: “Brittany/23/Wilmington”).

According to CBS spokesperson Phil Gonzales, Under the Dome, will star Natalie Martinez (Broken City), Colin Ford (Supernatural) and Britt Robertson.

The series will be based in a fictitious town called Chester's Mill. The town finds itself surrounded by a mysterious barrier that won't allow people to travel outside of it.

It is expected to air this summer, and CBS has ordered 13 episodes of the series, which is based on a Stephen King novel. The show will also be streamed on Amazon.

Officials working on the show have expressed interest in filming in Porters Neck and Southport City Hall.
