Get your applications in for the next Citizen's Academy | Community Spirit

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – New Hanover County is currently accepting applications for its next Citizen’s Academy.

The 10-week course is designed to educate people about the operations involved in the various services in New Hanover County. Students will tour different county facilities each week of the program.

The course will be held Thursday evenings, 6-9 p.m. starting January 24, 2013 and ending April 4. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and pay a $25 fee.

Applications are available at www.nhcgov.com. Seating is limited. In the event demand exceeds the spaces available, applicants will be placed on a waiting list for the next 10-week session. The deadline to apply is Friday, Jan. 11, 2013.
